Centreville resident Tina Atwell is a first-time volunteer for Washington-area radio station WGTS 91.9 at its “Socktober” collection drive Oct. 11 at the Chantilly Walmart, where she accepted donations of socks for two local charities ― the Central Union Mission of D.C. and the Salvation Army ― that serve homeless individuals and families.
